Welsh Mountain Home, an affiliate of Landis Communities, is pleased to welcome Mark Wenger as a new member of its Board of Directors. Wenger brings decades of experience in pastoral leadership, teaching, administration, and church governance, most recently serving as a bishop within LMC (Formerly Lancaster Mennonite Conference.)

His background includes pastoral ministry, seminary instruction, writing, and leadership shaped by a global perspective rooted in his family’s missionary experience, all of which align closely with Welsh Mountain Home’s commitment to simplicity, integrity, and Christ-centered service.

Lamar Benner, WMH Board Chair is excited to bring Wenger on board saying, “Mark brings broad wisdom, and a strong understanding of the spiritual, organizational, and human dimensions of serving older adults and dependent persons. He is deeply committed to supporting the mission of Welsh Mountain Home.  He will help strengthen Welsh Mountain Home’s ongoing ministry to residents and families. His appointment reflects our continued dedication to governance rooted in Christian values and responsive leadership both now and in the future.”

Mark comments, “Welsh Mountain Home is a hidden local treasure I’ve recently discovered.  Its affiliation with Landis Communities and its just-completed capital project put it on a trajectory for growth in serving persons without a lot of money. I’m excited about the possibilities of this Christian witness. The mission of Welsh Mountain is at the core of Jesus’ teachings”

For over a century, Welsh Mountain Home has provided a safe, affordable, and loving community for those who call this place “home.” WMH offers a peaceful, Christ-centered environment where residents enjoy delicious home-cooked meals, meaningful connections, and a deep sense of community.
